Adding Configuration Items

To add new Configuration Items:

  1. From the Configuration Item list screen, select the New Configuration Item button in the upper right corner.

  2. From the new Configuration Item window:
    • Select a customer
    • Select an owner.
      • An owner can be either a Team Member or an Assignment Group with a group type of CMDB.
    • Enter a Configuration Item Name
    • Select a Configuration Item Type
      • Make sure to use the Configuration Item Type setting to add types to populate this drop down menu.
    • Enter a Description for the Configuration Item
    • Save the item
