Adding Configuration Items
To add new Configuration Items:
- From the Configuration Item list screen, select the New Configuration Item button in the upper right corner.
- From the new Configuration Item window:
- Select a customer
- Select an owner.
- An owner can be either a Team Member or an Assignment Group with a group type of CMDB.
- Enter a Configuration Item Name
- Select a Configuration Item Type
- Make sure to use the Configuration Item Type setting to add types to populate this drop down menu.
- Enter a Description for the Configuration Item
- Save the item
